A conceptual piece of The Weapons Master, made for Border Walker ([link]). The Weapons Master is a man (or woman) who gives up his/her name, taking on only a title. This person is the most capable warrior of the Fortress of Ca-dalen, and leads forces into battle. By giving up their name, they become a symbol instead of an individual.

The headband he's wearing here is a battle headdress. Instead of chevrons on an arm or stars on a shoulder, leaders wear a headdress with their rank on the battle wings. Flags are painted on, symbolizing which forces this person leads. The more battle wings (the things sticking out of it), the higher the rank the person is.
