I'll be selling these next weekend as 11x17 and 22x34 prints on EXTREMELY NICE paper. Off-set printing. Expensive...and hopefully, gorgeous.
From top left, counterclockwise:
Forest of Stones: There is a forest in my story The War of Winds called the Seshen'a Tsa, translated as The Forest of Stones. While it's not literally a stone forest, it IS a jungle full over overturned rocks and statue bits, from before the world broke the FIRST time. Three of my characters, Talon, Ravar and Vrin, are climbing a statue head for no good reason other than I felt like drawing them that way. No, for those of you wondering, Ravar doesn't get his tail back [not any time soon, at least. I'm considering it, in like, book 3, but it's much like bringing a character back from the dead, y'know? Taboo unless in satire.)
Mountain Home: These guys are from Clan Keeshin, and are the grandparents of Fen Aya Zen, a character from Not Alone. Keeshin live in the mountains, surrounded by the clouds, high-altitude forests, and giant canyons. Keeshin have a reddish coloring somewhere between a red wolf and a tiger.
Just Wanna Have Fun: These are the Oa, also from Not Alone. Oa are one of the smallest of the Keyen, but the second most intelligent, despite strong ADHD tendencies. Oa are also known for their ornate masks. The older one is, the more ornate the design on the face. Unlike many Clans, their horns never really grow too long.
Dinner and Show: Xor were the main Keyen other than Keeshin to appear in Not Alone. They are incredibly intelligent (and consider most humans rather dull, not to mention stupid) but prone to foolishness and mayhem, just to keep themselves busy. Females are light colored with dark manes and horns, and males are dark colored with light manes and horns. The longer the horns, the older the Xor, and Xor also darken with age. The only way to tell an old male from a female is by horn/mane color.
And that's your trivia for the day! I'm so glad to have this done. Now I have time to get a banner made if I want!
This...this...this is awesome! It looks so pretty, I love how the borders came out in the finished product :3 It actually makes me want to do something like this too...
<3 I think I'm going to be doing "sets" like this from now on. I don't really LIKE one-time, alone, pieces. I like collections. We should brainstorm sometime!
I thought about making the border the same, but that would require it being black, and it looked too heavy. Maybe if I made it thinner...hmm...I'll have to experiment!

I do kind of wonder if the border should have been the same across all four pictures, but I suppose the true effect is lost until all four are done!
